HttpStatus
On this page
An HTTP response's status code, from 100 to 599.
Use it for what a response carried, such as in a log. In a route, return your failures, and let Jadpo pick the status.
Shape
One whole number from 100 to 599.
Example
HttpStatus(404)HttpStatus(number) checks the number, and one outside its limits breaks min or max.
text.parse(raw, as: HttpStatus) reads one from text that comes from outside. Text that isn't one at all fails malformed, such as 99, 600 or 0200.
Good to know
==tells you whether two are the same, and<andlist.sort_bycompare and sort them.
In JSON
A number, in a request, a response or json.write:
200404599
Details
Text form, storage, how it is shown, and operations
HttpStatus is in the group Web and network, and has been in Jadpo since 0.1.0.
Text form
text.from writes one standard text form, the same form text.parse reads back: 200, 404 and 599.
How it is stored
It is stored in one column named for the field, of type integer. 404 is stored as 404.
How it is shown to people
text.format(value, locale:) shows it to people in their locale.
With locale: Locale.en_gb:
| Value | Shown |
|---|---|
200 |
200 |
404 |
404 |
599 |
599 |
Operations
It also takes text.parse, text.from, text.format, json.read, json.write and ==. How every standard type behaves says how they work.
