Longitude
On this page
Degrees east of the prime meridian, from -180 to 180: -0.1276.
Use it where you hold a longitude apart from its latitude. When you have both, use Point.
Shape
One Decimal from -180 to 180.
Example
Longitude(-0.1276)A value outside its limits breaks min or max.
text.parse(raw, as: Longitude) reads one from text that comes from outside. Text that isn't one at all fails malformed, such as 0.1276 W, W0.1276 or -0,1276.
Good to know
- West is negative.
text.formatshows the letter:0.1276° W. - In JSON it is a string, so no decimal places are lost on the way.
==tells you whether two are the same, and<andlist.sort_bycompare and sort them.
In JSON
A string, in a request, a response or json.write:
"-180""-0.1276""0"
