VideoCodec
On this page
A video format as browsers name it: avc1.42001E, vp09.00.10.08.
Use it to tell a player which format a video is in. For sound, use AudioCodec.
Shape
One value, held as text in one set form, with no parts: vp8.
Example
VideoCodec("avc1.42001E")VideoCodec(raw) checks the text, and text that isn't one breaks the format rule.
text.parse(raw, as: VideoCodec) reads one from text that comes from outside. Text that isn't one at all fails malformed, such as h264, avc1 or AVC1.42001E.
Good to know
- Casual names such as
h264are refused, since a player needs the whole name. ==tells you whether two are the same.<andlist.sort_bydon't take it.
In JSON
A string, in a request, a response or json.write:
"avc1.42001E""hvc1.1.6.L93.B0""av01.0.04M.08"
