Example
ShoeSize { system: ShoeSizeSystem.uk size: "7.5" }text.parse(raw, as: ShoeSize) reads one from text that comes from outside. Text that isn't one at all fails malformed, such as UK 7,5, UK 7.25 or UK 07.
Good to know
- A half size is written with a point,
7.5.7,5and7.25are refused. ==tells you whether two are the same.<andlist.sort_bydon't take it, so sort by one of its parts instead.
In JSON
A string, in a request, a response or json.write:
"UK 7.5""EU 42""US 9"
Details
Text form, storage, how it is shown, and operations
ShoeSize is in the group Commerce and logistics, and has been in Jadpo since 0.1.0.
Text form
text.from writes one standard text form, the same form text.parse reads back: UK 7.5, EU 42 and US 9.
How it is stored
It is stored in 2 columns, each named for the field, _ and its suffix. This is US 9:

Operations
It also takes text.parse, text.from, text.format, json.read, json.write and ==. How every standard type behaves says how they work.
